Apart from the Planetarium, we also organize Telescope Observations 🔭 (without the dome) at the place of your preference all over Greece and anywhere in the World if invited.
See through the eyepiece of a telescope what is out there!
Telescope Observations - a journey through space and time
During an astro tour night we set up two telescopes:
A Smith-Casegrain 8” (20cm) for observing Planets, the Moon and bright stars.
The new technology eVscope, an incredibly powerful telescope for observing deep sky objects – star clusters, nebulae, other distant galaxies – even from urban environments.
With this high-tech telescope you can save images of the Cosmos directly on your mobile phone.
No photograph collection can replace the feeling of awe under a really dark sky. If you want the authentic, come with us to experience the beauty of the Universe, to see for yourself through the eyepiece of a telescope what is out there!
Solar System
Saturn Rings
Jupiter belts and zones and it’s four largest satellites Io, Europa, Callisto and Ganymede
Moon Craters
Mars the Red Planet
Venus
Comets
Stars
Stars and star colors.
Stars are huge gaseous spheres composed mainly of hydrogen and helium. Their energy is produced in their center where hydrogen is continuously transformed into helium through nuclear fusion reactions.
Stars of different temperatures have different colors.
Nebulae
Dense clouds of interstellar dust and gas, where new stars are constantly being born
Planetary Nebulae
Death remnants of Sun like stars.
Star Clusters
Groups of thousands or even millions of stars.
Galaxies
Systems of hundreds of billions of stars, gases and dark matter, held togeather from the combined gravity of all the matter they contain.
In the summer months we develop large telescopes in fixed domes at Zagori area at mount Tymfi. You can visit them by booking a Private Telescope Observations Night, contacting us for the cost.
Immerse yourself in the stunning surrounds, pristine night skies and sophisticated telescopes, as our expert guides share the science and stories of the Greek Night Sky.
During the winter months the telescopes are removed for storage.
